According to the Texas Education Agency school rankings, Spring Branch Middle School has achieved "Recognized" status for the 2007 -2008 school year.  Spring Branch Middle School would like to thank the staff, students and community for helping the school to reach this goal.

SBMS has been included in the list of Texas public schools to be honored on Nov. 10, 2008.  For the past nine years, the Texas Business & Education Coalition (TBEC) honors the top Texas Public Schools each year.  Of the 8,000 schools possible, less than 4% are honored.  It recognizes schools that have demonstrated three years of consistent, high performance in all subjects compared to other schools serving similar student populations. TBEC Honor Roll schools have the highest percentage of students performing at the state’s most rigorous standard (commended) in every subject.
